MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — The Steamship Authority announced plans to increase weekend travel from Woods Hole to Martha's Vineyard as part of its reduced schedule due to the new coronavirus health emergency.

The Steamship Authority has run on a reduced schedule of 11 weekday trips, and seven weekend trips, since April 9. But, as of May 7, that will increase to running all 11 routes on a daily basis. That schedule runs through May 20.

Hy-Line Cruises from Hyannis to Martha's Vineyard have been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but are scheduled to begin running on May 22.

One midday Steamship trip will run on an as-needed basis, while one round trip each day will be designated for hazardous material.
