Meghan King Edmonds and Jim Edmonds have each moved on to new relationships but there is still one thing the estranged couple needs to sort out -- their divorce.

The former couple, who appeared on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Orange County," has a prenuptial agreement, which under normal circumstances would make a situation like this easier to deal with. However, sources shared with People that Meghan is contesting the legal document, which could mean a lengthy battle between the two.

Despite the pushback on the prenup, a rep for the former MLB player explained, "Jim’s prenuptial agreement is valid, enforceable and generous, and we fully expect it to be upheld."

"Meghan and her attorney reviewed the agreement several weeks before the wedding and agreed to the terms," they added. "Meghan herself has publicly explained the agreement was done at her urging because she didn’t want Jim’s family to think she was trying to take his money."

According to the statement, Jim is already ensuring that their children -- 3-year-old daughter Aspen and 1-year-old twin sons Hart and Hayes -- are taken care of.

"Jim is voluntarily paying Meghan more than three times the amount of child support required by court guidelines," the statement revealed.

The 49-year-old former pro athlete is also "letting her live in one of his homes in St. Louis and is paying the mortgage and all the bills for that house" in addition to giving the 35-year-old funds to employ a nanny and a housekeeper.

"He pays for almost every single expense related to the children. And he pays half the rent on her Los Angeles beach house," the rep continued. "Jim has been beyond generous to Meghan and provides full financial support for his children."

As for Meghan, it doesn't seem like she will be speaking out about her soon to be ex-husband's claims. When asked about it by Us Weekly, she simply responded, "I’m looking forward to putting this behind me amicably, and I don’t wish to discuss the private details of my divorce at this time."

Aside from her pending divorce, the mother of three appears to be enjoying spending time with the new man in her life, entrepreneur and founder of Uncharted Supply Company, Christian Schauf. She even made their relationship Instagram official on Thursday.

"I guess if it’s in @people, it must be true...," she captioned a photo of the couple matching in red flannel shirts. "I’ll just say this: I’m happy and looking forward to writing my next chapter."
