Woman Missing From Rosedale Found Dead: Police

Police said a missing Baltimore County woman was found deceased in Prince George's County.

ROSEDALE, MD — A woman who was reported missing from Rosedale earlier this month has been found dead, police said.

Betty Defazio, 70, was found deceased in Prince George's County, according to authorities.

Defazio went missing from Regal Inn in the 8000 block of Pulaski Highway on Sept. 9, officials said, after she went to get cigarettes but did not return.

Previously, police said Defazio disappeared Sept. 6 and suffered from a cognitive disorder. Investigators also thought she may be in Baltimore City.

Officials said Thursday, Sept. 17, she was found deceased.

The Prince George's County Police Department and Baltimore County Police Department are investigating the circumstances around the death of Defazio.
