A family from Exeter has been named Conservationists of the Year by the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority.
Keith Strang, and his sons Geoff and Mike were given the 2021 title, for conservation work on their farm on RR#3.
The Strangs use cover crops, crop rotation, and vegetative cover to build soil health and prevent soil erosion.
They have also established watercourse buffers and restored a wetland.
The ABCA says the Strangs will receive their award later this year.
