Waterbury, CT - On Sunday, January 14th, students in the Chase Collegiate ARTS Academy Private Music Lessons Program presented A Winter Recital in the Smith Cornerstone Room, Camp Hall. Piano students of Holly McCann and voice students of Marissa Famiglietti Apland, ranging from Pre-K - 12th grade, performed a mix of classical pieces, musical theater songs, and well-known standards, warming up the audience with beautiful music on a winter’s afternoon.

Holly McCann, accomplished pianist and accompanist, who has been with the program at Chase for over 27 years, shared her thoughts with students and families. "I believe that private music lessons on any instrument are essential to a child's development. Lessons enhance their learning concepts in school, including concentration, math, and coordination. Lessons foster a positive outlook and self-esteem, and helps the student to be a more well-rounded person."
