Chautauqua Lake tops Clymer in three sets

CLYMER — The Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds girls volleyball team knocked off the Clymer Pirates in three sets on Thursday night, 25-6, 25-7, 25-15.

Leading the way for the Chautauqua Lake (9-1) was Mollie Measows, who had three kills, six aces, five digs, and 17 assists, while Sophie Woodis had seven kills and two blocks, Ava Olson had four kills, two aces, nine digs, and eight assists. Jenna Walters added three kills, two aces, and ten digs, and Mackenzie Zemcik had three kills and two blocks for the victorious Thunderbirds.

Clymer (2-8) was led by Karly Honey with nine digs, Emma Woods with three digs, a kill, and two blocks, and Mikala Einink with an ace, three assists and four digs.

Chautauqua Lake is next in action on Tuesday, Oct. 15 where Falconer will visit the Thunderbirds at 6:30 p.m. Clymer will travel to Brocton to take on the Bulldogs on that same day, for a 5 p.m. start.
