Henning man injured in Parkers Prairie fireworks accident

A Henning man was injured in a fireworks accident in Parkers Prairie on Sunday, July 5, according to a report from the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office.

Charles Johnson, 26, of Henning, was taken by the Parkers Prairie EMS to Alomere Health in Douglas County after being injured in a fireworks explosion that happened at 11:16 p.m. at the public access in rural Parkers Prairie, according to the report.

Johnson was injured when the firework that he was attempting to light exploded in his face, according to the report.

According to the report the Otter Tail County Sheriff's office, Parkers Prairie Police Department, and the Parkers Ambulance Service responded to the accident.
