Milford police say they believe someone intentionally hit geese with a car in Milford Friday afternoon.
The incident happened on the road behind Milford Library, through a marina and past a busy pavilion. Police say when they arrived to the scene around 1:30 p.m., one goose was dead and two were wounded. They say the two geese had to be put down due to their injuries.
Residents say the area is usually populated with kids playing basketball or tennis and are concerned that someone was driving recklessly in the area.
Officers say they are looking for possible surveillance videos of the area from nearby businesses. They say video evidence could result in reckless driving or animal cruelty charges.
Milford police are asking anyone with information to call (203) 878-6551.
