WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Santa Parade is Sunday, with the man in red touring the town and collecting donations beginning at 9 a.m.

The stops Santa traditionally makes at schools and town buildings will not happen this year, due to the coronavirus.

But you can still make donations for the fire department's Toys for Wilmington Children drive, food for the Wilmington Food Pantry and letters to U.S. service members. According to the parade's Facebook page, volunteers will collect donations on the roadside during the tour.

"If you feel uncomfortable approaching the volunteers, either put them down on the road and a volunteer will collect them or you can drop them off at the Wilmington Public Safety Building outside the front door," the organizers wrote.

A portion of the route will be dedicated to the late Wilmington resident state Trooper Thomas Devlin.
