Sue Anderson Consultants, a leading British Education Specialist Consultancy with global experience in advising families and placing children within British schools, they are once again in Dubai for the UK Boarding Schools Exhibition. The exhibition offers families a high quality alternative, at a time when the local education scene is experiencing serious challenges, both in terms of value for money and in some cases the real opportunities offered for higher education.

Following the huge success of last year’s event, Dubai Knowledge Village will be the venue again for the UK Boarding Schools Exhibition. There will be 25 UK Boarding Schools offering families the chance to meet school heads and senior staff, ask questions and evaluate the option of a UK boarding school experience.

“Sue Anderson brings an awareness of the traditions of academic discipline, athletic excellence, bonding, teamwork and intellectual discovery cherished inside a modern experience to Dubai and shares her expertise and encouragement with expatriate children.  She opens doors to expatriate parents, for whom finding the right fit for their child seems out of reach.  The schools represented at the annual UK Boarding School Exhibition welcome international children and facilitate making one of England’s finest experiences a part of your child’s entry into adulthood,” said Majorie, an expatriate mother who attended last years event and has since placed her child at a UK Boarding School.

The UK Boarding School Exhibition is due to take place at Dubai Knowledge Village Conference Centre from 8th February to the 10th February 2007. The exhibition is organized by Sue Anderson Consultants, an advisory team with over 25 years experience in UK education both as professional educators as well as parents. Sue Anderson Consultants travel the world, consulting with parents and children on their options in the UK education system and helping to select the right school for each child.

“A friend recommended Sue to us and from the time we met it was obvious that she had an extensive and impressive knowledge of the UK school system and even better of children and their individual needs. Our one meeting with Sue Anderson Consultants was like finding a shortcut to the nitty gritty and must have saved us hours if not weeks of Internet time and legwork. Sue Anderson Consultants provided us with a shortlist of schools and arranged for us to receive the school prospectuses,” said Judi, a mother in Dubai, who also attended last year’s exhibition.

Sue Anderson Consultants will spend a month visiting various countries within the GCC, promoting the event taking place at Knowledge Village and meeting and promoting UK boarding school education to families in the region. The UK Boarding Schools Exhibition gives the opportunity to prospective students to meet staff from a selection of British Schools, allowing them to discover which establishment would best suit their needs, as well as the many benefits derived from a UK education.

“We had such an excellent response to the event we held last year, that we decided to hold the event in Dubai again this year, to show families that education within the UK could be a viable option for them. All the schools we work with offer a wide range of subjects and extra curricular activities, allowing children to grow in a happy and healthy environment that they thoroughly enjoy. Choosing the right school for your child is an extremely important decision, that’s why our consultants are there to offer you their unbiased and expert advice, helping families make the right choice,” said Sue Anderson, Managing Director Sue Anderson Consultants.

Given the soaring costs of schooling in the region, the issue still remains a concern for a large number of students and families. Sue Anderson Consultants highlight an alternative option as UK Boarding schools are now being seen as a worthwhile investment, supporting children academically and socially to allow them to develop their skills and achieve their goals – including a chance to go on to British Universities in the UK.

“Boarding at Loughborough Grammar School is a great experience – it’s an opportunity to make new friends and sample life in the UK, before university. Living in the town of Loughborough also means I get to meet university students and see the facilities the university has to offer for myself,” Akshay, a student placed by Sue Anderson Consultants.

The event is also aimed at families who relocate frequently, as well as children with special needs, to find a UK Boarding school that can offer them specialist help to enrich and enhance their academic achievements. By placing their child at a UK boarding school, not only will their child benefit from a world-class education system, but also the stability they need to make long term friends.

At the UK Boarding Schools Exhibition, children and their families can meet and find out more about the 25 leading UK Boarding Schools that will be attending. They will also be able to discuss the school’s facilities, educational values and approaches. Sue Anderson Consultants will also be there to give professional help and advice on choosing a school that’s right for your child and as importantly for you!
