April 7 Election

City Hall is closed to the public except for appointment only in-person absentee voting. All residents are strongly encouraged to vote absentee by mail for the election to limit social contact.

Tax payments
Tax Payments will NOT be accepted in-person at the Clerkβs Office. Tax payments can be mailed (201 Delafield, Waukesha, WI 53188) or made online: https://tax.waukeshacounty.gov...
Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry
The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Buildings (including Schuetze Recreation Center) are closed to the public.
The following outdoor park/recreation facilities have been closed: All Restrooms, Horeb Springs Skatepark, All Playground areas
All programming and activities are cancelled through April 4.
Partial program credits will be granted for cancelled classes. Due to the volume, these credits will appear on your accounts as soon as possible.
All reservation rentals of any size are cancelled through April 4.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army will be offering curbside lunches at Sentinel Park (1933 Madera St.) from March 23-March 27 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for all ages.
Waukesha Public Library
The Library is closed to the public until further notice.
Due dates for all checked out items have been extended to May 1 to avoid fines.

Municipal Court
All in person court appearances, except pretrials are postponed until May 1, 2020. This includes initial appearance, trails and juvenile court.

Police/Fire
The Fire Department and Police Department will operate as they always do, but the administrative offices and lobby will be closed to the public.
Residents should call 911 only for life-threatening emergencies. If you need to call 911, tell our emergency dispatchers if you have been diagnosed with or reason to believe you have been exposed to COVID-19.
The City Hall Annex (Engineering Building) is closed to the public
ALL permitting will be done via email. Please email your permit request to Craig Bayerl at CBayerl@waukesha-wi.gov.
The Drop-Off Center is closed until further notice.
The TV/Electronics/Recycling Drop-Off Event scheduled for Saturday, March 28 has been cancelled.
Garbage/Recycling
All items must be in the container. Bulky item pickup is suspended until further notice.

The Transit Center is closed to the public
Waukesha Metro Bus routes are running as normal (with a few planned construction detours).
Effective Saturday, March 21, 2020 Waukesha Metro and Waukesha Metrolift will not be collecting fares until further notice.
All able-bodied passengers are to board and exit the bus from the rear door. If a passenger is using a wheelchair or other mobility device or has an impairment that prevents them from entering/exiting the rear door, they are permitted to still use the front door.

The Prairie Home Cemetery offices/chapel are closed to the public.
For all cemetery payments, please either mail your payment to 605 South Prairie Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186, or drop it in the black lock box located next to the chapel office door.
