Local Certified Nursing Assistant Class Graduates

Brightview Senior Living, a leader in senior living that builds, owns and operates more than 40 vibrant senior living communities along the east coast, alongside Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) and itWorks Learning Center are pleased to announce the graduation of 18 students from their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class. The partners came together to provide training for those interested in the healthcare field in Anne Arundel County. The class began in August and concluded in late October.

“This is the first of hopefully many classes we will be able to sponsor in partnership with AAWDC and itWorks. Finding enough talent interested in the senior living field has presented itself a challenge as we grow and the whole healthcare field expands,” said Vicki White, Director of Employee Relations at Brightview Senior Living. “The Baby Boomer generation is aging, and with this poses a big opportunity for those in the healthcare field. By hosting CNA classes, we know we are not only positively impacting the economy, but we are also encouraging people to find their passion and hopefully a career at a senior living community, like Brightview.”

Out of the graduating class, there have already been eight offers for employment at Brightview’s Crofton community. In addition, two current associates within Brightview in Anne Arundel County completed the class and have been offered elevated caregiver roles.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the quality and engagement of the students who graduated from this program,” White continued. “We hope they will make Brightview Senior Living their home of employment for many years to come, and we can already envision upward growth for many of these superstars.”
