Students, staff at Midway Elem. in Claiborne Co. advised to quarantine after being exposed to coronavirus

Anyone who experiences symptoms should contact their doctor's office for advice on the next steps to take.

NEW TAZEWELL, Tenn. — Students at a Claiborne County elementary schools were exposed to the coronavirus earlier this month and are being advised to quarantine for 14 days.

According to an announcement on the school's website, students and staff at Midway Elementary School in New Tazewell were exposed to COVID-19 on March 9th, 11th, 12th, and 13th. 

All students and employees should self-quarantine or shelter-in-place for fourteen days from the 13th, the announcement said, which would be until Friday, March 27th.

Anyone who experiences symptoms should contact their doctor's office for advice on the next steps to take.

"Thank you for your continued support as we all work through this unprecedented event," the school said.
