New Neighborhood Pet Store Puts Playful Twist on Pet Product Shop

Pet Supplies Plus has opened its doors at 7133 Cermak Road in Berwyn, offering local pet parents a hassle-free way to find better products for their pets, while saving them money and celebrating the fun of pet ownership. In addition, the store will offer amenities such as self-pet wash stations, knowledgeable pet care team members and carry-out service in which team members carry heavy items to neighbors’ cars.

The Berwyn location will also be hosting a visit with special guest and America's favorite Horror Host Svengoolie! He will be at the Berwyn location on Saturday, February 1 between 1 - 3 p.m. signing autographs and taking pictures with local pets.

The store will be owned by animal lovers Michelle Lambert and Harry Geaneotes. Michelle and Harry originally met while working at a technology company in 2006. Previously holding various executive positions in the IT industry, Lambert was looking to combine her entrepreneurial spirit with her passion for animals. For Geaneotes, a sourcing executive, he was also looking to combine passions – with complementary skill sets this duo are a great pair. The two did their own research, and both saw Pet Supplies Plus as the ideal option. Having worked together in the past, Lambert and Geaneotes decided to once again become business partners this time for pets.

As a community partner, franchisees Lambert and Geaneotes will partner with local animal shelters and will have special focus on the Berwyn Police Department K9 unit, Fire Department and Leader Dogs for the Blind. The two plan to be engrained in the beautiful and diverse Berwyn community – and already feel welcomed by the First Responders and the Berwyn Development Corporation.

Pet Supplies Plus will offer Berwyn pet parents a wide selection of natural pet foods, goods and pet services at low prices and focus on a unique, rich in-store experience for “neighbors” (the term Pet Supplies Plus uses for customer). The store will also feature self-service pet wash, grooming services, community rooms, and veterinary service offerings provided by VIP Petcare Clinics.

Lambert and Geaneotes said pet parents are always welcome to shop with their leashed dogs at the store, where knowledgeable team members are on-site to answer questions, offer tips or just get on their hands and knees to play with pets who enter the store.
