Missing Temescal Valley Man, 90, Found Safe By Lancaster Deputies

Benjamin Rico went missing around 10:30 a.m. Saturday from his Temescal Valley home, according to the RivCo Sheriff's Dept.

UPDATE: A 90-year-old Temescal Valley man who went missing Saturday morning was found in Los Angeles County. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, its Lake Elsinore Station was contacted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sunday night and notified that Benjamin Rico was found by deputies from the Lancaster station Saturday at 6 p.m.

Rico was found in good health and did not require any medical attention. Arrangements are being made to reunite Rico with his family.

TEMESCAL VALLEY, CA — An at-risk, 90-year-old Temescal Valley man has gone missing, and police are asking for the public's help in finding him.

Benjamin Rico was last seen at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the 22000 block of Ash Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. He suffers from medical conditions and may become disoriented, sheriff's officials said.

Rico was believed to be driving a gray 2006 Toyota 4Runner, California license number 5SNN388.

He is described as a Hispanic male, six feet tall, weighing approximately 190 pounds, gray hair and brown eyes. Rico was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball hat, a blue sweatshirt, and a pair of brown pants, according to the sheriff's department.

The California Highway Patrol Saturday issued a Silver Alert for Rico.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s ground units were used to search for Rico, but he was not located. The search is continuing.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Rico or his vehicle is urged to call the Lake Elsinore Station at 951-245-3000, or the sheriff’s dispatch at 951-776-1099.
